ISO 22301 is the Business Continuity Management System standard which with be replacing the BS 25999-2 standard in November 2012. Business Continuity Management (BCM) has been developed to protect companies from the risks associated with company outages which can occur due to unexpected disruptions or disasters.
How to get certified to ISO 22301/BCMS Certification?
TNV make the certification process simple. After you submit your application TNV appoints a client manager who will guide you and your business through the following steps/procedures.
Gap analysis
This is an non-compulsory service where we take a closer look at your existing business continuity management system and compare it with ISO 22301 requirements. This supports identify areas that need more work before we carry out a formal assessment, saving you time and money.
Official assessment
This happens in two stages. First we review your current business continuity management system against an ISO 22301 checklist. We will share the details of our findings so if we find gaps, you can close them. And if you meet all the requirements well complete the formal checks ready for certification.
Certification and Maintenance
When you have passed the formal assessment, you will receive an ISO 22301 certificate from TNV, which is valid for three years subject to maintenance of the condition of the certification. Your client manager will stay in touch during this time, paying your regular visits to make sure your system doesn't just remain compliant, but that it continually improves.
